Loving what I do!

Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. In this way, love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the Day of Judgment, because in this world we are like Him. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. We love because He first loved us.
I love what I do, because I am doing what I love. Teaching God’s people what it truly means to be in love with Him fills my heart with joy unspeakable. No matter how challenging or critical the teaching becomes, it’s my great pleasure to be on the giving end of exposition. Teach me o’ LORD, that I may teach others is my credo. As we learn about God’s unfailing, untiring, unwavering, undeniable love, we too, should come to the consensus that God is love.
My, my, my, can you believe Mt. Zion that it’s been ten years and still counting, where is the time going. God in His word to us wants us to come to Him in love; not just trouble time love, but all the time, anytime love. Not just when things are going bad should we call on Him, but in the days of sunshine as well. God needs to be such a part of our lives that anytime is the right time for prayer, praise, and thanksgiving.
There is a song that says I love the Lord, He heard my cry, and pitied every groan, long as I live and troubles rise, I’ll hasten to His throne; right Miss Chantay? Understanding that the love of God is always present in our lives is wonderful to know. Hastening to Him is what we can and should always be willing to do. The Apostle John says to us in his letter that we can have complete confidence in knowing that God is perfectly in love with each of us. The King James Version reads, “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: 1 John 4:18.
This year has been, and continues to be a great challenge for us, but God’s love for us, and in us has the capability to sustain us, keep us going, and to see us through it all. I am so glad to know that in God via Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Ghost, we have a true friend, a constant companion, and an impeccable confidant. We can all say without a shadow of a doubt, “Yes Jesus loves me, yes Jesus loves me, yes Jesus loves me, for the Bible tells me so.
Again, as Pastor, it continues to be my pleasure to serve as Under Shepherd to one of the greatest congregations on earth. You are dynamite, TNT, Nitroglycerin all rolled into one. And I still need your help to blow down some walls in love. Come on, let’s blow down the wall of hate, let’s blow down the wall of envy, hey, let’s blow down the wall of malice and strife, how about this one, the wall of jealousy, it’s got to be blown clean clear away. The Bible teaches that we cannot conquer evil with hate, but with love. So let us LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. Until next time!
Pastor
